Project INSPIRE

Integrated Neurodiversity Solutions for Pedagogy, Innovation, Research, and Empowerment

Project INSPIRE is a multidisciplinary social innovation initiative in Nepal dedicated to empowering autistic and neurodiverse children and youth through inclusive education, applied research, skill development, and sustainable livelihood pathways. The project addresses long-standing gaps in autism-inclusive pedagogy, assistive technology, and economic participation by integrating education, innovation, and entrepreneurship into a single, scalable model.

INSPIRE focuses on developing inclusive teaching practices, locally grounded research, affordable assistive tools, and creativity- and skill-based micro-enterprises that enable autistic youth to learn, create, and earn with dignity. Through collaboration with universities, educators, families, researchers, and community partners, the project strengthens capacity at every level—from classrooms and homes to enterprises and policy spaces.

Aligned with Nepal’s higher education inclusion agenda and global sustainable development goals, Project INSPIRE aims to build a sustainable ecosystem where neurodiverse individuals can thrive academically, socially, and economically, while contributing meaningfully to their communities.
